Building a web shop and CRM for Aqua Ocean

For Aqua Ocean, Tetbit designed and built the web shop at aquaocean-schwimmbaeder.ch together with the CRM that runs behind it.

Aqua Ocean needed more than a catalog online. The business required a web shop that customers could browse and order from with confidence, and a CRM that kept every product, offer, order, and shipment in one place for the team. Shipping was costing the business money, because what customers paid did not match what each delivery actually cost to send. Tetbit approached the project as a full scale product engagement, shaping the shop, the CRM structure, and the way they work together to create a clearer buying journey and a stronger foundation for long term growth.

Objective
  • Put the whole range in one shop

Give Aqua Ocean a web shop where customers can find pool chemicals, accessories and equipment, and order them without picking up the phone.

  • Connect the shop to the daily work

Make sure every order, offer and shipment lands in a CRM the team already knows how to run, instead of being retyped from one place to another.

  • Keep both sides easy to grow

Set up products, categories and pages so the range and the business can expand without the shop or the back office getting harder to manage.

Challenge
  • A large and varied catalog

Pool care, technical equipment and accessories all had to be browsable in one place, without a customer needing to know the right product name first.

  • Shop and services side by side

Aqua Ocean sells products and also plans, builds and services pools. The site had to sell the first without hiding the second.

  • Shipping that lost money

Aqua Ocean sends everything from small test kits to heavy and bulky pool equipment. Shipping costs did not follow what was actually in the parcel, so the business was losing money on deliveries.

Solution
  • One shop built around the way people look

We organized the range into clear categories and product pages, so customers can browse by what they need and still reach the services and pool pages from the same navigation.

  • A CRM behind every order

Products, categories, offers, orders and shipments live in one system that shares its data with the shop, so a change made once shows up everywhere.

  • Shipping built around the goods

We built fully custom shipping, priced by product, material and weight, with its own rates for bulky goods. The team manages it in the CRM, and every order is charged what it really costs to send.

Selected CRM modules supporting the shop and the team

The CRM was designed to give the team one place to run the shop: what is sold, what has been ordered and what is on its way. Below are selected screens highlighting key areas of the system. Only a subset of modules is shown here, to illustrate the product logic while respecting platform scope and confidentiality.

Brand principles

Principles that shape the product

A clear set of principles guiding how the shop and the CRM communicate, simplify and stay consistent for customers and the team.

  • Clarity first

A wide range is only useful when people can find their way through it. Categories, product pages and the cart lead with what matters, so customers know where they are and what to do next. The same applies in the CRM, where the team sees the current state of every product and order at a glance.

  • Trust in every step

Buying pool equipment is a considered purchase. Clear details, honest availability and a simple order flow help customers feel sure about what they are ordering. Behind the scenes, clear statuses mean the team can give a straight answer when someone asks.

  • Built for daily work

The CRM is where the team spends its day, so it favours speed and familiarity over decoration. Shared patterns for tables, filters and forms make every module feel known from the first use.

  • Ready to grow

New products, new categories and new services should not mean rebuilding anything. The shop and the CRM share one structure, so the range and the business can grow without losing consistency.

Aqua Ocean now operates on a stronger digital foundation that improves how customers find and order products, streamlines internal workflows, and supports long term growth across the shop, offers, orders, and shipments. With shipping now built around what is actually sent, Aqua Ocean no longer loses money on deliveries.
